A Note from Carrissa
We are exactly halfway through the year and with the rare Blue Moon rising last night, we are experiencing the end of a full cycle.
If you've felt something shifting over the last few days, that's exactly what this energy is for. A lot of us are in it right now. The school year ending, the house getting louder, summer arriving all at once. And somewhere in the middle of that beautiful chaos, things become clearer.
For me personally, I've become aware of the foyer I've been walking past for two years saying someday. The photos on the wall that show a version of my family from a few years ago, not who we actually are right now. June is the month I am going to do something about it, because homes shift slowly, until suddenly they don't.
Last night I wrote down what I'm releasing and what I'm calling in for the second half of the year. The release burned into the ground. The intentions are in my journal. If you've never tried this, the clarity alone is worth it.
As the month unfolds, the Strawberry Moon rising on June 29th offers us gratitude and clarity. There is so much to be thankful for and with clear vision and intention, both our homes and our lives have room to grow into something that truly reflects who we are right now.

THIS MONTH: THE MID-YEAR HOME RESET
Building on this season of clearing and renewal, there's a design practice I return to every June — and it has nothing to do with a major renovation or full room overhaul.
It's a recommitment.
Most of us are living in a home that's one or two seasons behind who we actually are. Summer creates a pause long enough to finally notice that — and to do something about it through small, intentional updates that actually move the needle.
In this month's post, I'm sharing the three areas of the home worth paying attention to right now — your walls, your bedroom, and your outdoor spaces — along with the styling shifts, thoughtful upgrades, and favorite finds I'm personally drawn to this season.
There's also one question I've been asking myself lately that completely changed how I'm approaching my home this summer.

I've also pulled together two curated seasonal edits — everything I'm personally drawn to this month across walls, bedroom, and outdoor spaces. Linked and ready whenever you are.

BEHIND THE SCENES
The custom home build I've been with all spring is in a different kind of phase right now — plumbing, electrical, the mechanics of the home taking shape beneath everything. It's not visually exciting in the way selections and finishes are, but there's something I love about this stage. The house is under roof, the bones are set, and it's finding its voice. You just have to know how to listen for it.
A referral project came in last month with beautiful energy — a client who came ready, decisions moving with intention, and selections I'm genuinely excited to see come together. The kind of family you walk away from already knowing you'll stay connected long after the last room is finished.
If you've ever wondered what it actually looks like to work with a luxury interior designer on a custom home — from the very first conversation to the final room — that's exactly what I'm breaking down in this month's second post, going live June 15th.

INTENTIONAL LIVING TOOL
We're halfway through the year now. Six more moons. One full turn toward autumn before the holidays arrive again.
The 2026 Lavish Interiors & More Wall Calendar was designed for exactly this kind of mid-year pause — a visual anchor that helps you move through the second half with the same intention you brought to the first. If it's already on your wall, pull it out and look at what's coming. If it isn't yet, there's still a beautiful half-year ahead to plan with it.

CLOSING THOUGHT
The Strawberry Moon arrives at the very end of the month — and its energy is different from most.
It's an exhale. A celebration of how far you've come. Not a push toward what's still undone.
Before June 29th, I'd love for you to sit with that. Pull out your goals from January. Walk through your home with fresh eyes. Notice what has actually shifted, grown, and ripened in your space and in yourself since the year began.
That's worth pausing for.
What's one thing you're proud of so far this year? Hit reply and tell me. I'd genuinely love to know.
With gratitude, Carrissa
