A Note from Carrissa
May always feels like a turning point, but this year, I actually feel ready for the shift.
Over the last two months, I’ve found myself in a cycle of deep editing. It usually starts in one small corner, but before I know it, I’m two closets deep—making piles of things we no longer need so they can find a better home elsewhere. It has been a literal "shedding" of stagnant energy, moving from the release of March into the renewal of April.
Now that the physical and mental clutter has cleared, I’m finally seeing the space left behind. To me, the Full Flower Moon at the start of this month represents expansion, clarity, and visible growth. With the unneeded items gone, I can finally see that my smaller surfaces—my mantle, the side tables, and the coffee table—are calling for a refresh. Even something as simple as a new centerpiece on the dining table gives me a completely fresh perspective on the room.
As we move toward the rare Full Blue Moon at the end of May, the energy shifts from that initial growth toward release, refinement, and completion. It’s about finishing those edits and letting the home settle into its most polished version.
We start noticing our homes again—not as a list of chores, but as spaces that finally have room to breathe.

BEHIND THE SCENES
What's on the boards: Right now I'm deep in tile and lighting selections for a full custom home build — there's a specific kind of magic that happens when materials start speaking the same language across a whole house.
We're also wrapping up a custom cabinet upgrade for a longtime, cherished client's garage loft kitchenette, and three bedroom refreshes plus three custom bookcase edits are starting next week. My summer calendar is filling beautifully.
What's growing: Beyond client work, I've been spending time this month building new relationships with architects and luxury builders — expanding the Lavish network one genuine connection at a time.
And if you're not ready for a full project yet, the Flower Moon styling edit above was designed with you in mind — two ways to refresh your space right now, whether you want budget-friendly or elevated investment pieces.

INTENTIONAL LIVING TOOL
If the lunar rhythm in this newsletter resonates with you, the 2026 Lavish Interiors & More Wall Calendar was designed to carry that energy through your whole year—a visual planning tool for moving through each season with more clarity, rhythm, and ease.
This isn’t just a place to track appointments; it’s a dedicated space to map out your own "deep edits" and growth phases. I created this to be a beautiful, tactile anchor for your wall that reminds you to pause, breathe, and align your home’s evolution with the natural cycles of the year.

CLOSING THOUGHT
The Flower Moon doesn’t ask you to do more.
It simply brings awareness to what is already ready to grow.
And in your home, that often begins with noticing it again—quietly, intentionally, and without pressure.
May this season inspire small, meaningful shifts that bring clarity, calm, and connection to your space and your life.
I'd love to hear — what's one space in your home you're ready to give attention to this season? Hit reply and tell me.
Know someone who'd love a little design inspiration and intentional living in their inbox? Forward this along — I'd love to have them here.
With intention, Carrissa
